Memphis, Tenn. – The USL Championship announced on Tuesday Memphis 901 FC’s Nighte Pickering, Aaron Molloy and Jeremy Kelly were named to the league’s Team of the Week for Week 11 of the regular season.
The league tabbed a league-high three 901 FC players to the Team of the Week for the second time this season after the team extended the club’s franchise record seven-match unbeaten streak with a 2-1 road victory over FC Tulsa on Friday to move up to No. 6 in the Eastern Conference with a 4-2-3 record.
Pickering earned his first Team of the Week appearance after his second start at the top of the formation this season. The 18-year-old youth international recorded a goal and assist in Friday’s 2-1 victory and has contributed to three goals in two consecutive starts in 2023.
Molloy earned his second Team of the Week honor after scoring the game-winning goal in the victory over Tulsa while pouring in five shots and five chances created completing 63 of 73 passes. The 901 FC captain leads the league with 34 chances created this season to go with one goal and one assist.
Joining Molloy on the Team of the Week is fellow midfielder Jeremy Kelly, who was a ball-hawking presence on Friday with three tackles and 14 recoveries while completing 60 of 66 passes. Kelly leads the team with three Team of the Week appearances this season.
901 FC returns to AutoZone Park looking to extend their unbeaten streak against Miami FC on Saturday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m. CT.
