MEMPHIS, Tennessee – After three weeks on the road, Memphis 901 FC finally returns home to the Bluff City Wednesday as the club makes its national TV debut in a showdown with Atlanta United 2.
Kickoff for the USL Championship Game of the Week at AutoZone Park is slated for 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday night will be the first time Memphis has played on its home pitch since March 16.
AutoZone Park has established itself as the most-attended pro soccer venue in Tennessee in 2019, with more than 16,000 fans combined taking in the action.
Memphis 901 FC (1-2-2, 5 pts) is fresh off a draw with North Carolina FC that helped cap-off its three-week road trip with four points. Memphis kicked off that same road trip by notching the first win in club history.
Memphis’ goal output also increased on the road with the club notching four goals, including two from leading scorer and team captain Marc Burch.
Now head coach Tim Mulqueen and his squad will aim for the first win at home at AutoZone Park.
The club will face stiff competition from Atlanta United 2, who sits just one spot below Memphis in the Eastern Conference standings.
Like Memphis, Atlanta is fighting for a Top 10 spot in the East (playoff position).
Atlanta (1-2-1, 4 pts) is coming off a 2-0 loss to Saint Louis FC and is looking for its first win in the past three matches. Young, promising Atlanta United (MLS) players Romario Williams and Andrew Carleton are expected to be in Wednesday’s lineup.
Wednesday will feature a pre-match party on the AutoZone Park plaza starting at 4:30 p.m. Memphis Tigers head football coach Mike Norvell will also be the guest of honor and will take part in Memphis’ newest tradition, the pre-match guitar smash.
Single match tickets for Wednesday’s match and all home matches in April are on sale now.
Season tickets, group tickets, and 7 Match Flex Plans are also available, with full season tickets starting at just $10 per match. Call (901) 721-6000 or go to https://www.memphis901fc.com/tickets for more information on all ticket options.
